Rain, Sunshine, High Heels and Wellies – the Scottish outdoor wedding experience

December 8, 2009

I was looking through the wonderful offbeat bride website today. It’s a blog by a Seattle based author of a book called Offbeat Bride: Taffeta-Free Alternatives for Independent Brides. This blog is the ongoing celebration of couples who dare to walk off the beaten aisle. Great inspirations can be found for all of you who embrace the non-traditional bride within. And I salute every single one of you. When my clients find me they sing ‘halleluja” , ‘ a photographer who won’t drag us away from our guests for two hours and believes that there is no need to pose anything on our wedding day’.

So on this note, let me share with you a wonderful non traditional wedding set at Mavis Hall Park, a small family owned business tucked away at the foot of the Lammermuir Hills….

Come rain or shine, Althea and Dav were well prepared with plan A, B and C in place but thankfully after a downpour in the morning, the sun came out and the plan A outdoor wedding could commence…
